Hot on the heels of last week FBA announcement, Amazon Australia have today given notice that they will be opening up the marketplace to all interested 3P sellers from today.
Previously third party sellers wishing to sell on the marketplace alongside Amazon’s own stocked items had to go through an application and review process, with priority given to more established brands and those retailers with offerings that could fill holes in Amazon’s ever growing product catalogue.
For the hundreds of Aussie sellers who have been waiting to get access to the marketplace today’s announcement will come as a welcome relief, and combined with the introduction of FBA – Amazon’s top-to-bottom storage and fulfilment service for sellers – the quantity and diversity of products and sellers on the fledgling Australian marketplace is sure to rise dramatically in the coming weeks.
For any sellers ready to go you need only head over to this link and sign up to create an Amazon seller account.
